If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US, or contact your local emergency services (911 in the US). Ebenwell is a spiritual support tool from Montgomery Appworks LLC. It is not medical or mental-health care. It does not treat, cure, or diagnose any condition.
These terms are between you and Montgomery Appworks LLC (Oklahoma) for the Ebenwell app. They do not cover other Montgomery Appworks apps. The bundle ID is com.montgomeryappworks.ebenwell. The privacy policy is at /ebenwell/privacy.
The service
Ebenwell is a local companion: check-ins, Scripture from the public-domain King James Version, short readings, a journal, SOS, and optional sharing through the system share sheet. You must be 17 or older.
The app does not send messages on its own. It does not include a website filter in this build, and it does not run an always-on VPN.
Plus and the trial
Planned prices, charged by Apple or Google if you subscribe:
- Monthly: $9.99
- Yearly: $39.99
- Trial: 7 days
The app shows the trial length and both prices before a purchase path is offered. A local reminder is scheduled 48 hours before the first charge when a real trial is active and you have left that reminder on. The reminder is a convenience. Store billing still follows Apple or Google. Cancel in the store's subscription settings before the charge if you do not want to continue. Canceling does not delete your streak or journal.
SOS, crisis help, the basic streak, the journal, today's verse, the urge log, export, delete, and the app lock stay available without Plus.
This repository ships placeholder billing keys. Those builds do not complete a charge. Restore purchases asks the store for this app's entitlement only.
Apple offer codes and Google Play promo codes are redeemed with those stores. The app does not sell access with its own license keys on iPhone or Android. A web preview can send a hash of a code to a checker. That hash is not a store receipt.
Your content
Notes you write stay yours. You are responsible for what you put in a share sheet. Do not use the app to harass anyone.
Acceptable use
No one may use Ebenwell to break the law, to publish another person's private notes, or to misrepresent the app as professional care.
Intellectual property
The app, original readings, and branding are proprietary to Montgomery Appworks LLC. See the LICENSE file. King James Version text included in the app is public domain. Third-party packages remain under their own licenses.
Availability
The app stores data on the device. Uninstalling, or typing DELETE in Settings, can remove that data. Keep an export if you need a copy. The company does not operate a backup server for your journal in this version.
Liability
The app is provided as a spiritual companion. To the extent the law allows, Montgomery Appworks LLC is not liable for decisions you make during a hard moment, for store billing outcomes, or for data lost from a device. Crisis numbers are links into your phone. Response times belong to those services, not to the company.
Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.
Disclaimer
Montgomery Appworks LLC (Oklahoma) offers Ebenwell as a private spiritual companion for people 17 and older. Readings, prayers, and check-ins are religious and practical. They are not a relationship with a physician, counselor, or pastor arranged by the company.
Crisis controls in the app open the phone dialer or the SMS app for 988, or show a prompt to contact local emergency services. The app does not place those contacts for you, and it does not monitor whether you followed through.
Scripture quotations are from the public-domain King James Version.
No website filter ships in this build. The app does not watch the screen and does not run an always-on VPN.
