Privacy · Spam-Call Scrubber
This policy covers Spam-Call Scrubber for iPhone, iPad, and Android, published by Montgomery Appworks LLC in Oklahoma.
What the app does
Spam-Call Scrubber blocks or labels spam calls using a bundled blocklist built from the FTC’s public Do Not Call complaint data. Scrubber Pro subscribers also get live number lookups.
Blocking stays on your device
Blocking runs on the device. On iPhone and iPad it uses an iOS CallKit Call Directory extension. On Android it uses CallScreeningService. Incoming call information is not uploaded. The app does not read or upload your contacts. Personal block and allow lists stay on the device.
Live lookup
Live lookup is for Scrubber Pro subscribers, and it starts only when you ask for it. Only the number being checked goes to our Cloudflare Worker backend. That backend queries Twilio Lookup v2 for line type and caller name. Lookups use short-term caching and rate limiting. Before a lookup, the backend checks the subscription status with RevenueCat.
Purchases
Purchases go through Apple and Google via RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and store receipts. There is no account or login in the app.
Ads and analytics
Spam-Call Scrubber has no ads and no third-party analytics.
